Even though Ridley Scott’s previous film, Prometheus, was generally regarded as a colossal disappointment, his next film, The Counselor, is arguably the most anticipated movie of the fall. The main reason for this: The movie’s screenwriter, Cormac McCarthy (author of the brilliant Blood Meridian, No Country For Old Men, and The Road), is a few rungs above Damon Lindelof, whose incoherent screenplay for Prometheus was widely seen as that film’s greatest shortcoming.

In fact, The Counselor is so anticipated that the Russian language trailer has become an event in the English speaking world.

Without any subtitles, it’s hard to tell what it’s about. Still, it looks pretty cool.

UPDATE: Here’s the English language version.
